Surprises
As I sit at my desk I have a view of 3 feeders.
Never know what might visit, many times a surprise.
Wonder what the next surprise will be in my life?
(Special guest Ernestine Lawson has gifted us with today’s post. Thank you, Ernestine.)

My surprises come day by day now. Isn’t it funny how you can read a dog’s bark just the way we could judge a child’s cry. The recent rains have flooded snake dens. Surprise : a moccasin.

I love this notion of waiting for life’s surprises. Like Lynn, I find that mine come day by day although I hope our drought brings more bunnies to the yard and no snakes. Being easily surprised is something I share with my grandchildren–that’s a good thing.

Ernestine! How precious is this picture and your words, always so succinct and spoken from the heart! I wonder what it might be like to greet each thing that comes along as simply…a surprise. How wonderful to see your work here at this site! And what a delightful surprise!
